“^ As the title says, I went to Europe for 3 weeks and change and decided to take only a carry on and a purse. I got these pants in blue and black, and also took American Tall jeans (1 pair) and t-shirts. (And a few other non-AT items). These worked PERFECT for travel. They fit well, hold up fantastic to abuse, don't gather lint or dirt and wash well in "nuke it fast" settings in foreign laundromats. I took a nasty fall at one point and though I bruised badly, the pant's didn't rip. They are comfy to wear even on plane flights and squashed trains. The blue is fairly casual, the black is nice enough to fake as slacks (kinda, not fooling anyone but it's nicer than most travel pants). They also were a nice weight -- not too cold in chilly weather, but I didn't completely die when hiking around 7 miles a day or climbing towers and such.
My ONLY complaint is that I hated the pockets. They're a kind of odd material, bunch up and they don't hold much -- or well. Things constantly fell out of them. My rec to AT would be to either ditch the pockets for a flat style (annoying, but at least no puckering at the hips) OR fix the pockets and give them a zipper. A hidden pocket in the waistband would also be rad -- one big enough to hide room keycards and a spare credit card.
Overall though, VERY pleased with them, will be using in the future for travel.”
“These pants are very nice. Nice material. I am 6’, 175 lbs & these pants are plenty long enough. I bought the extra long length. So nice to be able to wash & dry pants that don’t shrink into ankle/capri pants. Also nice fit. Most tall clothes are too baggy in the seat & hips. These are not. Not crazy about the different material on the bottom rear of these pants. It is a different material than the front. Like a little bit of stretchy material but it’s very notable and not needed. Otherwise they would be perfect.”
“Fit is perfect, fabric is lightweight. Waist is perfect fit though I wish a tad stretchier to fit over my backside while pulling them up. Once on the pants fit great!”
