Great light pants but a bit loose, will order another pair size smaller

Fabric is very thin, not like on the picture. So these pants won't hide any imperfections of your hips. On positive side - prefect fit in waist and thighs, not too loose, not too tight. The length is very long. I had another model of pants in the same order, both in extra tall, but these ones are dragging on the floor behind me, and another one barely covers my ankle bone. This inconsistency in length is very unsatisfying.

These are the comfiest pants I own. And they were perfect for summer wear - nice and breezy. I am long in torso and short in legs, even being 6’, so I had to get them hemmed. But it was worth it!

I am honestly not sure what to make of these pants. I bought them because women in the reviews said they were wearing them to work. However, these are essentially lounge pants. These are made out of wafer-thin, drapey fabric, so you really need to think about what undergarments you're going to wear (or not wear) with them. I can't figure out the sizing at all. The high waist is super loose - and I am not slender at all. The hips and thighs fit comfortably, though, so I'm hesitant to downsize. I can wear them with high heels, which is useful. Maybe I could wear them on a date? Overall, I'm just confused and could use some assistance with styling these.
