“I feel like these jeans were made by men. The length itself is amazing, but the fit honestly wasn't that great and certainly didn't warrant an $80 price tag. I was expecting my new favorite pair of jeans, and these just fell short. My specific issues were with... *Rear pocket placement- if you are curvy with any amount of booty, the pockets will sit more on the sides of your hips vs on your rear. They are very far from the center seam, in my case more than a hand width. It's weird and not normal pocket placement. *Front pocket length- the pockets should either be a tad shorter or just comit to a full pocket. The issue with the pocket length is it sits right at your hip joint line and creates a bunched up appearance. It looks like your jeans are bunched up in your crotch / joint area. *Fit through waist vs waistband- the waistband has a limited amount of stretch, which is good. But the difference between the waistband and the rest of the pants do not flow. You go from very snug to very forgiving... the slightest belly and it just forces the stomach area out. Seems like the cut is off or maybe poor fabric choice. The fit is terrible and just has extra fabric there. Maybe if you fix the pocket issue you can tighten that area up. *Mid-rise lie- I'm not sure I would classify these as a mid-rise jean. They sit well above your navel. Hopeful to maybe see a true mid-rise or low-rise option. I still wear the jeans and might purchase in the future, but certainly not my favorite pair and nor would they ever be without improvement.”
“I am very happy with these jeans. I'm tall and very thin. The jeans flatter my boyish figure. I appreciate the option for a 35" inseam. Tall women know that is hard to find. Absolutely, I will be buying more clothes from American Tall!!”
“First purchased 29inch waist, which is my usual size and the size of all my other jeans and those fit great. I had to exchange to 30 inch waist. There’s just not very much stretch or tummy control. I usually expect skinny jeans to be snug around the ankle…..they are not, they are a bit loose around the ankle…I don’t know..maybe I have skinny ankles. They fit great around the thigh and calf. And to be honest… I’m a mom… some of us have a kangaroo pouch, there is not much lower tummy control. I’ll wear them with loose fitting shirts and sweaters but if I tuck a shirt in these jeans, I feel like a bit like an egg from the side. I’m a mixed bag about it. I like them, but I don’t love them.”
We're sorry to hear that you aren't completely happy with the jeans. We appreciate your feedback and will pass it along to our design team. Let us know if you have any questions.
“Im 6’ 165, muscular. I’m always a 29x35. I could hardly button the 29s. I returned them for the 30s, same issue. The 29s measured up to the same size as jeans I wear and own. Now I have the 31s. They’re also tight on the belly, yet so loose on my back that I can stick my arm down them. I wouldn’t call them mid rise, they cover my belly button. I’ll probably keep them as I’m sick of returning them and paying fees to try on ill-fitting jeans. They’re good quality denim though.”
“I”m usually a 29 waist in jeans and 37” leg. They were a little tight and could have been longer. Sadly I had to return. I’ll try again if a different style of jeans come out. I absolutely live everything else I’ve purchased from American tall from tops, dresses & sweats!!!!”
