“I got the coat in the middle of our cold streak: temp hovering around 0° before wind shield and it was so warm! If you live somewhere that doesn't get that cold, then I would recommend the lighter weight coat because this one is very big and will probably be too warm, but it's perfect if you do. Length was plenty long and arms were very good. I'm only 5'9" so if you are much taller than that or have super long arms, you might want to go with the extra tall. I also love that the pockets are lined and nice and deep, so they keep your hands warm and it doesn't feel like you're phone or keys will fall out. Sliding my arms in, it feels snug at first, but it doesn't feel tight when moving around in it and I don't think I would have a problem wearing a thicker sweater under it.”

“The coat is long enough and great through the arms. I love the warmth, but I am between a Medium and Large. I went with the large so I could layer under it since it is a winter coat. Unfortunately, there isn’t a waste belt or cinch so it is very boxy looking. I wish there was a waste taper or something to define a waste”
“3 Stars reflects my overall shopping experience with American Tall. To be fair, the coat itself deserves 5 Stars. I’ve worn it in very cold, windy and wet weather and it stood up to the elements! An inside pocket would’ve perfected it.
To give some constructive feedback, customer services could be improved! If you have a query, you have to converse with a ‘bot’. If the bot can’t help, then it will raise a ticket and a human will contact you via email in a couple of days. The response time isn’t great and this is not what I’d expect for a specialist, niche brand/service which typically requires a higher degree of customer services. I recommend investing in an ‘online live chat’ facility.
Also, overseas shoppers be careful! American Tall doesn’t offer duty-free shopping like some of its competitors. I had to pay import fees to the UK government before UPS would deliver. If you’re based in the UK, you have to factor this additional expense into the price for ALL orders INCLUDING EXCHANGES!
Finally, if you reside overseas, you have to spend a minimum of $225 per order. I’d love to see American Tall grow internationally but this creates another obstacle for overseas shoppers.
