“I read all the reviews before purchasing and was very hopeful the sleeves would be long enough.
They were not.
The sleeves were more than a few cm short with my arms at my sides, and easily 10cm short when I stretched my arms out forward.
The shoulders also bunched up when I tried to move my arms, which was odd because I feel like it otherwise fit well in my shoulders.
The waist was too big for me, even in a small, but it fit well in the chest and hips.
I'm not going to order a medium XT because I would be swimming in it. I was hoping for something with a more fitted silhouette.
Last - the fabric did not have the greatest texture. Very much a matte finish. Like, it will pickup any bits of lint or fuzz you brush up against, and did in the half hour I wore it at home to try on.
This seems to be designed like a layering piece under an overcoat, rather than an everyday puffy.
I will say the pockets were at the right height, which was a nice feature!
I'm just shy of 6' tall (181 cm) and I have a 37" (93cm) inseam. So I do have pretty long arms and legs, but they are proportionate for most clothes. I wear a US size 6.
I'm definitely bummed, this is the first thing I bought from American Tall and had high hopes! I hope the designs shift a bit as this company gets more established!”

“Lightweight but warm winter coat. Went with an extra tall small black, and I’m glad I got the additional sleeve length. The sleeves go past my wrists! I’ve been wearing to work and the sidelines of soccer games. It covers the butt/top thigh area and is easy to layer a sweatshirt or sweater underneath.”
“This coat is wonderful! It's so great to have the length. I am 6'2" and weigh 155 lbs. I ordered a small extra tall. Sometimes I wear small and sometimes a medium. I I going to exchange it for a medium because it is a little snug in the shoulders and chest. Fits great through the body and the length is perfect! Nice and warm.”
