“I am ~6' with very long arms and an average-length torso. I weigh ~135lbs and have a slim build, but with somewhat broad shoulders. I ordered the Small Tall, but debated an X-Small Tall. The coat is slightly too large in the midsection (even with a bulky sweater), but the shoulders are snug, so I'm glad I went with the Small. The sleeves fit where they are supposed to, though I would have appreciated a bit more length just for extra warmth/hand coverage (I think an Extra Tall might have been too long, though). The coat is warm and has a decent weight to it. The neckline is low, leaving your chest exposed to winter air if you don't have a scarf. The belt and the somewhat big midsection do make the coat look a bit like a robe when belted, which isn't very chic. I secure the belt in the back to avoid the robe look and nip in the waist. Overall, not my dream coat, but since coats for long arms are so hard to find and I have no better options, I am keeping it.”

“This is a beautiful fitted coat. I have never spent this much on a dress coat, but with a new job, I decided to splurge and am happy I did. This coat is high quality, a classic cut, and will last a very long time. I am 6', 170, size medium on the top, 34DD, size 12 waist, and size 14 hips. The coat fits perfect. I saw another review where it was tight across the reviewers shoulders, and it does feel a little snug, however having it fit so perfectly makes the silhouette look great. I would not be able to wear a bulky sweater with it, but for business attire it is perfect. The elongated collar and opening is perfect for adding a scarf and giving a pop of color. Length (especially the sleeves - come on girls - you know this is always an issue!!) is great. The texture is soft, not like some wool coats that are scratchy and itchy. So, if you have a thing for texture, know this gets 5 stars. AT - can you design some leather gloves for us tall ladies with longer digits? I would love to avoid buying men's gloves to finish this look!”
“This coat looks and feels very cheap. For a retail price of $279, I expected much better quality. Unfortunately, this seems to be a recurring issue with American Tall coats — the shoulders have an odd, tight fit that throws off the entire look. Once on, it resembles a bathrobe rather than a structured coat.
I actually debated keeping it simply because the sleeves are long enough, but I just can’t justify it this time. I’ve made that compromise before with other AT coats, and I refuse to do it again. The $9 return fee only adds to the frustration because the quality is nowhere near the price point — honestly, it’s giving $50 Fashion Nova vibes at best.”
