CQG Desktop is a solid platform, especially for being free with Amp, but some simple tweaks could make it a much better app. I appreciate that is has bracket order customization and numerous types of entries and exits options. The design could use some work, mainly very small numbers and some fine details on some of the features. The platform trades very solidly and doesn’t feel like there is slippage or lag, and that’s worth a lot.

In my futures trading, I use cluster volume analysis and order flow. Unfortunately, these features are not available on CQG platforms, so I conduct my analysis on a third-party platform without trading functionality and use CQG Desktop as a trading window for placing orders. Throughout my trading experience, the platform has never let me down; it's convenient and reliable, especially considering the convenient mobile version. I would be thrilled if CQG platforms added analytical features such as cluster volumes, order flow, bid/ask imbalance, and similar functions.

Fast execution, rarely freezes, simple to use, and crossplatform because it's web based. I have no issues with this platform unlike some of the other clunky disasters out there.

I like the flexibility of the Desktop as I also use cell app. It's quick and can also have multiple charts. I personally would like customisable tick charts as an option or volume candles! I don't like the cell app changes as the inside trafing tabs on the dom were coloured and now they don't show unless selected. Have asked for a reverse position tab on the dom

There are no risk management settings available, such as a daily loss limit. Furthermore, I am unable to set price alerts on either the web platform or the app. While AMP and CQG customer service is excellent and responsive, I cannot recommend you guys.

CQG Desktop is very nice and easy to read, quick Login on phone or PC, I can drag and drop my take profit and stop loss with ease, I can get CME commentary and even weather!!! I like the great variety of futures products and the supper fast data feed, I hardly ever get any slippage on fills, so huge plus! However, it takes a bit of getting used to if you come from another trading site, but once pass the learning curve, it is a great platform to trade on. although I always need to confirm the trade. Now, I would like to see more chart trading options, such as being able to split an entry into a take profit and a stop loss after entering the trade, especially since I often forget to select my bracket order. So, it would be nice to set my stop loss and take profits after the fact, if I forget, gain!

Why is it always when you have a great product; you decide to discontinue it. CQG Trader was a bomb shell product and liked by all traders and now it’s gone. Replace by CQG desktop with a bunch of windows making up a confused platform. I use it for the lack of anything else but am not happy about it at all. I would love the resurrection of CQG Trader
