“This older trading platform is very stable. It is possible to connect it via Python, which is the very powerful way to get an advantage. Execution is fast in real trading account.
The cons is that it has only basic user interface features compared to Tradingview or Gocharting. But for algorithmic trading it is good choice.
On the marketplace you can find lot of add-ons.”
“Meta Trader is a really stable and reliable platform. Its MQL5 language is great for automating strategies. Frankly, one of the only reasons I use AMP is because it’s one of the few U.S. futures brokerages that are on the MetaTrader platform .”
“Great experience with MT5, it does have minor bugs like not able to remember the history range you selected, example, you select yesterday, it shows the profits for that day. Open the app later, it resets that Yesterday back to the default, never use to amp. Other wise MT5 works great, but AMP needs to update their backend to more modern one. I wish it charged commisions as trades happen instead of end of day. I wish there was more transparency with this.”
“Good: Stable, no crashes. Supports(ish) Linux, even if some visual glitches.
Bad: Visually unappealing, having a Windows 95-like interface. Lacks LOTS of tools from popular anf growing platforms like Quantower. Font is horrible, too small and can't be adjusted.”
