Basecamp LED For Kodiak Reviews

5 Rating 5 Reviews
We recently experienced severe thunderstorms which caused massive power failures over large areas of the city. Luckily we had received the base camp led lights for the Apex and got to test them over a couple of hours. They worked great! The power draw was so minimal that after using them continuously for over two hours I still had a 99% battery charge. If I must critique which I will but in all transparency, I had no experience with LED lights I really thought that they were not suppose to get hot. Mine were hot but you could still hold in your hand without burning yourself. I was so impressed that I ordered an additional 3 lights to add to the 3 I already had, great product.

Great lights to string up over a campsite or a room that you want well lit.

Worked even on a slowly day, waiting for a sunny day to see increased input. The conversion of the PowerFilm connector worked and easy accomplished. Thanks.

Let's start with the customer service we have received from Nick, top notch all the way. We looked at other people to order through including the company and are so happy we picked Nick and his company. We have had a couple glitches with the wires and he is on it. BAM gets it done. I would highly recommend Armory Survival as they are not the kind of people that sell and disappear. Best experience I've had in a long time. Now the Kodiak. Love it, love it love it. Yes we had a couple of wire issues but like I said above taken care of immediately and trouble shot over the phone to determine the problem which was the connector wire. If I could afford it I would buy multiple units and power my whole house with the Kodiak. We do however use it daily it is not just for emergencies for us. We use the basecamp LED to light the living room at night and other rooms so we don't have to turn on any lights on the grid at night. We also power the TV and computer monitor. We have not had much sun and we live in a rental so mounting the panels are not an option for us right now. Once we get our own home we hope to have very little use of the grid. I do see another Kodiak in our future. Ron and Diane from Wisconsin
