“It’s a high-quality thick leather wallet. Although I gave it five stars, I noticed a few areas to improve. First, the wallet is scratchy to the touch, especially at first. This might be intentional, but I feel like a little more work there would give a more premium out-of-the-box appearance. Also, the green “Horween” logo on the spine feels a bit out of place. I feel that without this obscenely large logo, the wallet could have a more premium appearance. The edges also have a few spots that could have used a little more sanding down. A little bit of edge residue was left on mine. And the seams aren't completely hidden; I can still see the folds on the edges of mine.
I like that the edges line up nearly perfectly when folded. I cannot stand wallets (especially premium) where the wallet edges do not lie even when folded. They put good detail into this. The stitches are also straight, once again demonstrating the quality of workmanship. I've also dealt with wallets twice as expensive with crooked stitching, and I'm pleased to say Ashland does this right.
The wallet is extremely high quality, and the price justifies what the company is producing. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another or gift it to that very OCD, very picky person you know (like me). If I'm happy with it, everybody else will love it.”
