“After knowing about Ashland and the Fat Herbie wallet, I decided to finally try it, well two of them. One for me, and one for my dad for a birthday/father's day gift. English Tan for me, Black for my dad. The first impressive thing, was opening the box and the immediate smell of leather. The wallet themselves are great. The main selling point of the Fat Herbie specfically was being thin while having a lot of cards or cash. My dad's wallet always looked like a baseball, was impossible for him to carry in his back pocket.
Everything swapped over and the wallet isn't much thicker than a phone with a case. For the first time in years, he is carrying the wallet in his back pocket. I will say this, I believe it to be from not carrying a lot of cards. The wallet bends quite a bit, meaning the cards and ID bends with it, if that's the only thing in each pocket. I ended up putting extra gift cards behind things like a credit card or drivers license specifically to try and stop it, which it did help but also carrying the wallet in my front pocket. I'm not a heavy guy, 140lbs but even then I noticed after a day my license and credit card had quite a curve forming.
Overall, am I satisfied with both Ashland and the Fat Herbie? 100%, I should have gotten the Fat Herbie a long time ago. Not just the quality, but the design set a high standard for me.”
