“This is my second review. I wrote the first one when I initially received my brushes and suggested that their smaller size was problematic and, if you use the same technique as you would with a larger brush, they are problematic; but I also suggested I would check back in after I had used them several times to see if I would modify my initially tepid review. And here is my revision: the brushes work mighty fine if you keep the bristles constantly in contact with the leather during brushing. Lifting the brush away as you might do during your strokes with a larger brush doesn't work as well with these smaller ones because of the danger of damaging the leather with the sharp edges of the wooden handle. With that technique modification, these brushes work just fine. (PS: I don't know why my initial review hasn't been published...)”
“Well, for those of us who are used to to a larger shoe brush, these are quite small and will take some getting used to in terms of technique. The smaller size promotes the danger of hitting the shoe lather with the edge of the brush handle. I'm not too terribly impressed with this product so far: it is not comfortable in the hand because of its small size. I will report back after I've used it more to see if it grows on me.”
