“My YS640 is 9 years old, and needed a new heat diffuser. It's so nice to have the access door and grates that sit flat.”

“I bought a used 640 from a friend who only did low and slow. With the 2 piece diffuser, I'm now able to also sear high and fast. Best upgrade if you only have a 1 piece diffuser.”

“Make sure to order the correct size (there is one for both Yoder smoker sizes). Yes, you need this more than you realize! You also deserve it. It helps to clean out the burner tray of ash more easily when you do not need full access for a deep clean.”

“Adding this diffuser with access door was an excellent addition to my 2017 YS640 that had the one piece diffuser. You can now easilty clean out the burnt pellets without having to remove the very large, greasy, an cumberson diffuser. The best part is we can now sear steaks and hambugers. If you add this you might as well get the grill grate to go on that half of the grill as well, in my opining the grill grate is mandatory when operating the grill with the access plate removed. The sales person at All Things Barbeque on West Douglas in Wichita KS was great in explaining the YS 640, the options, and how everything works.”

“I’ve had my YS640 since 2018 and use it 2-3 times per week. I had to purchase a new diffuser plate as my old one holed through. I decided to get this one with the access door and I’m glad I did. I absolutely love it ! I can now get those steaks seared perfectly. Haven’t had to clean the firebox yet but I know it will be a breeze with this new diffuser plate. Well worth the cost.”
