After two years of not smoking any meat due to not being happy enough with the way the Brisket,Ribs and pork butts turned out on my 15 year old smoker I finally bought myself the ys640 smoker. Definitely a game change . After much indecisiveness I did it and I’m glad that I did. The 640 is so easy to use and I have stepped up my game for the basic of ribs, butts and brisket. Last week I cured and smoked pork belly’s. Definitely the best bacon I have ever had . That being said I wish I had bought this smoker two years ago. I absolutely love it !

After reading the 3 reviews in the email I received I just couldn't stand by without posting another one. I live in Colorado at 6980' and purchased my Yoder YS640 in March of 2016. This past weekend we hosted a Holiday Party for the staff of a charter school here in town serving 3 pork butts, 22lbs., and 3 large turkey breast. Temp here was 18 degrees at 3am Saturday morning when the meat went on and a high during the day of 33 degrees. 14 straight hours of cooking in winter temps and the Yoder 640 performed FLAWLESSLY! Our guest raved about the Pork and Turkey. In the summer I cook on it 3-4 times a week and in the winter months at least once a week, depends on how much snow I have to shovel off the deck! I do have the insulated blanket for it, I upgraded to the fireboard controller a few years back, and I have replaced the igniter twice. That's it for almost 10 years of what I feel is heavy use. There is nothing like it, you will pass this down to your kids or grandkids!! Scott S Colorado Springs

Like everyone else, there was a LOT of research before buying our Yoder Smokers YS640s Pellet Grill. We couldn’t be happier. It’s gotten us out of the house, and together as a family. Maybe what it has saved us on air conditioning costs will ultimately offset the grill cost. But the family togetherness over memorable meals has been priceless. The precision and quality of every cook, every time is phenomenal. The versatility of achieving exactly the right heat for any phase of cooking, roasting, searing, smoking, etc. is just crazy good in a single space. Low and slow, fast searing, or a wildly ample space for big griddle needs is literally a button press and knob turn away. This grill holds temps at what you set. We’ve got the optional accessories of the cast-iron griddle and grill grates, so it returns quickly to set temps even with opening the grill to check, turn, or rotate food. I’ve been very happy with the diffuser plate having the ability to open over the firebox for open flame/direct heat cooking/searing. And we’ve been over the moon with the griddle performance for everything from smash burgers to stir fry veggies. The grill grates have made phenomenal grilled veggies, fish, and kabobs as well. With the right prep inside and out, our grill has stood up to the weather without paint or rust issues. We do use a grill cover. And interestingly, it is cool enough after its shutdown cycle that I can cover it almost immediately after shutdown is complete. Our grill has had near daily use from my husband and myself for all of spring, summer, and fall. I did find myself buying the grill jacket for improved performance in our recent very cold days. Long cooks really benefit by using less pellets to “hold temp” with the jacket. Finally, a word about the fireboards managing the hopper feed and temperature: best pick possible for Yoder Grills. I really count on precision from this grill, and Fireboards delivers. Some of the things we’ve decided to try to make with this grill have been pretty dependent on having the control fireboards provides. And there have been times I’ve needed the graph “history” that their app sends to the phone. If you like information and knowing where you are in the cook/smoke, then hands down, this is the grill for you.

This is the best thing since slised bread. I dont know why i waited so long to get one. Takes all the guess work out of the equation and is replaced with smoking knowledge. When i purchase my food trailer im putting yoder smoker on the back of it

I've done St. Louis ribs, jalapeno poppers and beef ribs on this in the short time that I've had it. Everything has come out delicious! I'm very happy with how easy it was to set up and use. The fireboard app is very nice as well. This thing is built like a tank as well. Very durable!

this is a fantastic smoker/grill. I have always been a pure charcoal griller and had a difficult time deciding to switch to a pellet smoker. The additional ability to switch to direct heat for grilling and searing convinced me to make the change. I couldn’t be happier. Some of the best meals I’ve ever cooked!
