“The grease shield does exactly what it should do. It prevents grease and marinades from coming into contact with hot grill. If you get anything on it, once the grill is cool, just wipe down the stainless steel. One of the best accessories I've purchased for my Yoder”

“This paid for itself after the first time use of my new 640S. I seasoned the smoker and needless to say I had grease running down the front of the shield. I simply grabbed a rag with some cleaning solution on it and had the issue resolved in short order. It is obvious that after each cook this could be a ongoing issue without the shield but with it in place and as easily as it cleans it is the perfect solution to protecting my smoker.”

“Do you want a fairly inexpensive upgrade for your YS480/640, they seriously look at this Grease Shield. Not only will it improve the looks of your smoker, but also protect it from nasty buildup of dripped grease from your cooks.”

“You will always get a little bit of drip of fat off of the lid of your smoker, especially on looooong cooks. Previously, the grease built up on the lower edge of your smoker and could cause the paint to flake off when you washed the gunk off. Now your smoker is protected and Looks FANTASTIC!!”

“Keeps the front of your grill looking great because the stainless steel is much easier to clean than the painted surfaces. It’s almost impossible to prevent drips of juice or grease from drooling down the front of the grill during a cook (maybe I’m just that sloppy). Clean-up is really easy with a damp paper towel. The shield really improves the look of the grill as well. This is a very worthwhile accessory.”
