“First off I love my YS640S and all the accessories I've purchased but this one. I average 100 cooks a year on this smoker. But......When advertising photo's show the new deeper storage drawer with the pizza oven inside, one would assume the entire pizza oven assembly would fit. That's not the case though. The heat diffuser for the pizza oven is too large or the drawer is too small by about 1/2". The extra length of the drawer from front to back could have been accommodated in the design of the box. That extra length drawer length easily adjusted for in the mounting of the valance panel at the rear of the smoker. I already had the shorter height drawer version which I removed for this upgrade to the taller drawer. I'm giving it two stars because of poor design and marketing. It works but not as represented. I never thought I would have to recommend someone do their homework on a Yoder product but do your research. The literature did show the drawer dimensions and I had the pizza oven. Shame on me for not measuring the diffuser plate. If you don't have an entire pizza oven assembly you want to store, go for it. It's built solid and will accommodate many accessories. I flushed $450.00.”

“Bought drawer at the same time I purchased the YS640. Installed drawer while assembling the grill stand. Fairly easy installation and large capacity for storing grilling accessories. There is enough space between the grill base shelf and the drawer bottom to store grill grates. Covered both the bottom shelf and drawer bottom with rubber mat to protect the metal from scratches. Good product exhibiting the craftmanship Yoder is known for.”

“Absolutely love the new drawer! Easy to install and very heavy duty. Holds our pizza oven and accessories. Roller bearings so very smooth to operate as well!”

“As all things built by Yoder, the storage drawer is built like a tank… heavy. Installation is a little tricky if you are installing on an in use smoker. A couple of the nuts and bolts are little hard to reach taking off and putting on. Did I mention a little heavy, it’s a little difficult as a one person job. Mine would not fit with the drip edge installed. Which caused some distress and curse words during install. This is the main reason for the 4 stars. I still love Yoder though.”

“This is a well made addition to keep your tools, grill grates and accessories clean and safe. Good instructions for installation, not difficult but takes a little effort to tighten nuts in small spaces.”

“Of all things that should come with this beautiful grill, this storage drawer is the BEST item we added. It was easy to install with the assembly of our new grill. I'm not sure how easy it would have been if we added this to an existing grill, but man, oh man! This drawer holds all our essentials for grilling, glides open and closed easily, and looks great with our grill. 10 our of 10, would buy again/highly recommend to anyone with this grill.”

“As usual, it’s a Yoder! Sturdy, smooth gliding, and really easy to install. This drawer was super easy to install (we got it with the delivery of the new grill, so it was really just a modified part of the unboxing and assembly. I intentionally didn’t order the stainless shelf for the front, but did for the side (with its tool hooks). The wire front shelf allows me to see what’s in the drawer when I open it. I hope these tips are helpful to anyone considering the leap.”
