Of all things that should come with this beautiful grill, this storage drawer is the BEST item we added. It was easy to install with the assembly of our new grill. I'm not sure how easy it would have been if we added this to an existing grill, but man, oh man! This drawer holds all our essentials for grilling, glides open and closed easily, and looks great with our grill. 10 our of 10, would buy again/highly recommend to anyone with this grill.

As usual, it’s a Yoder! Sturdy, smooth gliding, and really easy to install. This drawer was super easy to install (we got it with the delivery of the new grill, so it was really just a modified part of the unboxing and assembly. I intentionally didn’t order the stainless shelf for the front, but did for the side (with its tool hooks). The wire front shelf allows me to see what’s in the drawer when I open it. I hope these tips are helpful to anyone considering the leap.

I'm reasonably sure that this drawer will outlive me. It's not a cheap accessory, but man is it handy. Installation can take a little patience if you have big hands like me, but a 3" extention to your ratchet will make live easier.

Love this thing. Not too bad to install and exactly the quality you would expect from Yoder. It helps me keep things put away.

Just what I needed, after I didn’t think I would and skipped purchasing when I bought the Yoder.

Not many grills come with a birthday front and center. Mine is now almost 10 and I contue to be amazed at all things Yoder. I think there is a Mercedes engineer on the loose there and is guiding what happens. My augur and fan blew two months ago and I proceeded to order the parts and complete the repair. The customer support service went above and beyond in calling, checking on wires, and guiding me. If you have never worked on a Yoder--this is serious metal and wil challenge you if you are new at this--as I was. Having completed the update (and the new ignitier, wifi sysem and controls and fans) are worth it. I was about done when a Father's day special for the Yoder YS drawer popped up and I succumbed to the Silver contrast. I did live in fear of whatever drilling I might need to do as what little I did in the rebuild was brutal to the bits and me. Well, the drawer arrived. I think it can hold 200 pounds (though I only have about 10 pounds of BBQ things conveniently at hand now) And in true Yoder brutalist-perfection tradition I never needed to drill a hole! Everything fits to pretty fine tolerances. There is no rational explanation to my obscession when my friends think a Smokey Joe will do; but as it just sits there and does everything I want with ease, everytime I walk past it on the back porch I just smile a bit--as I do in my garage with my 25 year old SLK250 convertible.

This was a really easy add to my YS640 and it got all of my grill tools out of the kitchen, freeing up that space (and preventing them from damaging the indoor non-stick cookware!) I used the add as the opportunity to do some regular maintenance and the install was simple. Only basic tools required, a second set of hands are useful for about 10 minutes of the assembly. THANKS YODER & ATBBQ!
