Jilungin is a bush tea made by the Nyulnyul people of the Kimberly region of Western Australia from the shrub Terminalia canescens, a close relative of Gubinge (Terminalia ferdinandiana). It has a warm golden colour and tastes of herbs and the earth. Loving Earth’s Jilungin is sourced from the Nyulnyuls themselves, who wild harvest it by sustainable methods before gently sun-drying it. It includes all the traditional components – the leaves, bark and stems – and makes a relaxing brew that is said to combat insomnia and migraines. Its potency is such that it can be steeped again and again, as many as eight times, with little loss of flavour or effectivity.
