“Bought this highchair after reading such good reviews. I would definitely give 5 stars for it's stylish look. We went for the black with timber legs. However, very disappointed with the chair itself. The straps are extremely loose especially for a chair that is intended for use from birth. I would question the safety of the straps. The chair does not let the child sit upright enough. We have had to use towel and blankets both underneath and behind our child for safe mealtimes. Our child is 9 months and is in the 75centile in all categories and this chair is not suitable for her. She has difficulty reaching her little arms over the table to pick food from her plate, hence why we have to use a booster of towels to ensure she is situated high enough that her arms are not restricted by the frame, something that is important if BLW. One positive is the recline function. I had an arm injury which I found it difficult to hold and give my baby a bottle and I was able to use the chair to sit her in and tilt back enough to feed her. Also, the chair is difficult to clean. Even after a deep clean it still looks dirty. Food gets trapped in the stitching and takes time to scrub and remove.”
“I had the nup nup high chair for 2 years. On Tuesday my 2 year old got her finger cut off nearly completely where the tray folds up and down, she’s had to have plastic surgery to repair her finger and nail bed and clean her bone since her finger was nearly off. I’m absolutely horrified that something on a children’s chair can be that dangerous to cut off a finger!!!”
“Would strongly advise against buying this chair. The footrest cracked after less than 2 years use with no support from customer care. Child is 25 months old so obviously not suitable to 36 months as described. The warranty period is only 12 months.
Stick to a different brand and avoid Baby Elegence.”
