5 Day Famous 5 Tour Of Tasmania | Hobart To Hobart Reviews

4.8 Rating 64 Reviews
I’m so glad that had a Famous 5 with Jacob and other active group mates. Really enjoy when walking in the rain forest even the weather not very nice, it still very beautiful. And Bay of Fire is one of my favourite spot. Btw, there was a crow followed us when we having a walk in Cradle Mt with the snowy weather(or it just the newest cctv in case we got lost or damaged the environment). There has one thing I have to admit to it is when you have a quick run from the top of dune, it’s exciting!!! Even there just only two actors, the play in Strahan called “ the ship that never was” was so riveting. Ooh, they might invite you join the play make you more into it. And don’t forget join the penguin tour in Bicheno, it worth it. Thanks for the friendly tour guide Jacob, takes care all of us in the trip, and took us to tasted the yummy food (and I very wanna taste the fish n chips shop in Bicheno next time) Very appreciate that texted me to confirm the pick up location and time before the day we go, so I don’t have to walk 15mins from my hostel to the address that email mentioned before the address that email mentioned.

I traveled alone to Tasmania and really enjoyed my experience with the Jump Tour! The people on the trip were friendly, the sites were great, and our tour guide Greg was great! Greg provided everyone with an important understanding of Tasmania's main attractions and we were able to enjoy the unique attractions of each place we visited. I would rather enjoy Jack's attention to my needs than take him to the cleaning. My experience would have been enriched as a result. Thank you so much for an amazing holiday! I loved natural opportunities, fun and laughter.

Having decided to visit the Tasmania from the Canada while on vacation, we signed up for the “5-Day Lap of Tasmania Tour from - Hobart” via Viator.com. This is a company we have visited abroad without complaint but after our recent experience, it may be our last. The tour-operator was Jump Tours in Hobart from Tasmania. First, we will start with our guide. Paul was very aggressive and inactive and always under pressure, which eventually led to depression for all paid holiday clients. One of the reasons for this unnecessary pressure was that our guide did not describe the daily trip in clear detail. We were told that once our luggage was placed in the caravan behind the morning bus, we would not be able to reach it all day. Visitors will start packing food, water, clothing, etc. In our seats on a very small bus, with no overhead or under-storage storage we just try to anticipate what we might need that day. For example, on the 4th day we were told that we would be able to swim in one of our stairs so everyone was surrounded by changing clothes and swimwear for the day but we never had a chance to swim. On the 5th day, we were not informed that we could go swimming so we packed our swimwear in our luggage. After the trailer was closed Paul announced that we could go swimming but we could not carry our swimsuits since the trailer door was closed. On Day 1 we were advised to order a bar meal in advance at the restaurant Paul called for dinner. When we were taken out of our apartment we saw that it had an amazing and inexpensive restaurant on site. We were never informed of this, so we had to walk for 15 minutes to pick up food that we had ordered at the bar. Paul was adamant not to answer individual questions but to hold group forums. Unfortunately, the timing and details provided were not always accurate or complete, but at that time we had no way of knowing this until it was too late. Because of the busload and accommodations, we were at the end of the 5-day journey. We could not hear what Paul was saying because of the low level of sound system and street noise from the bus. Paul tried to turn up the volume but there would be an answer on the microphone he was using. Paul should have been given one headset to use, that would have been better. Paul is driving too fast on narrow roads and is not allowed to have both hands on the steering wheel, due to the hand-held microphone of which 90% of bus passengers could not hear, putting the entire team at risk. Unfortunately, we did not receive all the "Entries" we paid for. Our trip says it comes with 4 breakfast included. We did not have breakfast any day and we paid for ourselves. Another inclusion is called "Entry to the Sanctuary of Wildlife including the Tasmanian Devils". For many of us we thought it would cost an entrance fee but it didn’t happen as we were told we would need $ 20.00 per person and there would have to be a direct change to enter the park. So, less than half of us are in. We got 4 nights accommodation, entrance to the National Park and a taste of the local product as promised. A few of the many examples we can share include: Day # 1- Hobart to Strahan- The tourism operator delayed the party for 1 hour when we went to the airport to pick up someone who had been badly told to meet a tourist bus there. Also, the guide did not give us the option to explore the Franklin Gordon wild river on a trip. Day # 2- West Coast - we were not given the opportunity to sail the Gordon River as we went. Day # 3- Cradle Mountain-Launceston- A waste of time going to 4 different gas stations because only a few will accept the use of the Jump Tour account and the guide was not sure which petrol stations you respect. Day # 4- Launceston goes to Bicheno- Suspended St. Helen’s 15 minutes and she was instructed to buy lunch on Day 5. We then went to the Bay of Fires for an hour for lunch and see the site. Unfortunately, there was only one very small restaurant in the Bay of Fires that could accommodate 25 guests in an hour. The Guide was to inform everyone as an option to buy lunch at a supermarket in St. Louis. Helen instead of spending time at the Bay of Fires. Day # 5- The Freycinet to Hobart- The voyage said we had a chance to relax on the hidden sea but we were not given this option. Some people walked to the guards and a few took 1,000 steps to the other side of the sea. Again, the connection was unclear. We have traveled around the world on various trips and have never written a complaint before. Jump Tours are inferior in our opinion. Unfortunately, Paul made this journey that could be very stressful and unplanned. A good guide is someone who can easily get involved, explain instructions, be flexible and approachable. This was a terrible trip! We have booked with Viator in the past without much worrying about sub-standard treatment or actually getting what we have paid for but from now on we will try to be very careful when we would book with them again. Happily, the trip was not a complete waste because of the beautiful Tasmanian landscape and the friendships formed by the new friends on the trip eventually became stronger as we shared each other's plight.

We had a great time during Tassie's 5-day trip. I booked a three-day Wild West beach trip, but because Greg was injured the day before, there was a change in schedule. Jump gave me progress and I went to Tassie's 5-day lap, which I always enjoy! This trip is perfect for backpackers traveling alone. Almost everyone in the group was traveling alone and Jump tours made sure everyone knew each other and felt included in the group. Our team was great and we got along really well. Jump Tours gives you the opportunity to experience the beauty of Tasmania in a unique way and take you to places you may never find yourself alone. I’ve been reading some comments and I just don’t understand how people can get this trip in a bad way. There was nothing wrong with the bus and owner / guide Greg is a great guy! Obviously Greg is really enjoying what he's doing, you probably won't find a better tour guide than him. A similar count of Jack, our guide to the East Coast! I would recommend this trip to anyone. Tasmania is probably the most beautiful place I have ever visited so far and Jump Tours have made this trip a memorable one!

A wonderful trip where you see many beautiful places in Tasmania. I especially enjoyed the rain forum and the Bay of Fires. I would also recommend going to a wildlife sanctuary - feeding a lot of kangaroos, seeing a few Tasmanian devils (even children), an albino peacock, etc. Yes, the tourguide Stu was really good and our team had an amazing time. I absolutely loved it !!

It's a great trip to see the different parts of Tasmania with so much good travel. Thank you Stu for being such a great guide, having a great time! and varied. Our tour Stide was really amazing and knew a lot about the places we visit. The accommodation is in hostels (or shacks) and we always stop where you can buy lunch / dinner or go to the supermarket.
