We’d been told Milford Sound was a must, and it didn’t disappoint.

Still can’t get over how unreal this place looks. The waterfalls were massive and the boat got so close you could feel the spray. Definitely worth the trip.

Milford Sound is one of those places that actually looks better than the photos. Being on the boat surrounded by those huge cliffs and waterfalls felt unreal. I did the cruise alone and it was honestly peaceful just standing on the deck taking it all in.

I wasn’t sure if it was going to be worth the money, but 100% it was. The scale of everything, the cliffs, the waterfalls, the still water....it’s just insane!!! We stood outside at the front, just yelling "LOOK AT THAT" every five minutes like idiots. 10/10.

Did this with my dad during a road trip from Te Anau. It rained the whole time but honestly that made it even more dramatic. The waterfalls were huge and we could hear them before we even saw them. Staff were lovely, and I appreciated that they didn’t overdo the commentary, just enough info without talking the whole time.

Milford is one of those places that doesn’t feel real. The waterfalls were roaring and the cliffs just disappeared into the clouds. I didn’t even mind getting soaked, it was that beautiful.

Did this with my grandma and it was surprisingly accessible. She sat inside with a cup of tea and still got a great view through the big windows. I ran up to the deck for photos. Super chill experience for both of us.
