“The ride down is almost as good as the cruise! What an amazing road out to Milford Sound, so many sights and good bits of info from the team running the tour.”
“The views of the fjord from the boat and of the New Zealand countryside were spectacular, but the actual tour was just okay. It is definitely a long time to be sitting on a bus even if the bus was of good quality. The lunch was a pre-packed pie they heated up on board along with other generic snacks. It would probably be better to get your own food. While it was great to see other sites in Fjordland National Park, I would rent your own car, if you feel comfortable, as you could manage your time better at each location and not have to wait for the rest of the tour. I personally just also like driving a car as opposed to riding a bus. 100% take the boat cruise though. It was a great experience and Pure Milford does a great job of thoroughly showing you the fjord.”
