Whitsundays Ocean Rafting Day Tour | Snorkelling & Whitehaven Beach Adventure Reviews

4.7 Rating 321 Reviews
I had read reviews before going about the plane having two seats that were obstructed by the bar from the wing. I couldn’t find any helicopter tours available while we were there so I figured i might just avoid sitting in those seats. However, once we arrived we were assigned seats, and me and my partner got stuck within the two seats with the obstructed view. It completely ruined the flight for me as my view was obstructed the whole time, and the photo opportunities were significantly limited.

I can’t enjoy once we are constantly rushing from one place to a different . The place where we did snorkel was one of the worst places to see corals and marine life

Due to high tides, a lot of fresh water after recent rains, the coral & fish life were invisible, unfortunately making the water the water milky. We understand it’s the wet season & they’ve had a lot of rain, but we should’ve be told before they took our money. Considering a family day trip is so expensive. Funnily we weren’t told this on booking/paying, however the sign up staff did tell us this subsequent day at time of boarding. Bit late after it was already paid for...

We were very much looking forward to our day trip however we were very unlucky to have terrible whether with torrential rain, strong winds and a huge swell in the sea. This is clearly no fault of the company however we were hughely disappointed, and quite honestly disgraced, to see that the skipper was not wearing the boat’s kill cord. It was questionable whether within the conditions the trip should have gone ahead anyway, something one among the staff muttered, and yet if there had been a disaster I dread to think what would have happened thanks to the irresponsibility of not wearing the kill cord.

We did the 2hr group lesson at Ailie Beach. We had a great time and whilst I can't say I'm anywhere near an expert, for my first ever time trying, I loved it!! Ned was a really patient and helpful teacher and we appreciated his knowledge and instruction - I even managed to stand, albeit brief. Thanks for an awesome afternoon. Totally recommend this to everyone!
