I took my two kids here and they were hooked the whole time. They especially loved the icy room and the ride, while I appreciated how educational it was without feeling dry. Honestly, I went in thinking it was just a “filler” activity, but it turned into one of the most memorable things we did in Christchurch.

Didn’t expect to enjoy it this much...feeding the huskies and going through the storm room were the best parts.

Penguins were cute. Storm room was intense. Easy win if you’re near the airport and want to kill a few hours.

Took my younger sister and we both had a blast. It’s one of those places that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still teaches you something. The penguin feeding was a highlight and the staff seemed really into what they do. Good energy all around.

Fun for all ages. We went mostly for the penguins and ended up staying way longer than planned. There's a surprising amount to do inside. Worth it.

Cool exhibition center. I enjoyed visiting the blue penguins, dogs, learning about Antarctica and the Hagluung ride. I hope they walk the dogs a lot as it’s hard for them to be tied up all day. Overall a great experience

Had a great time but worth checking out before hand the timings of the penguin feeding, 4D theatre etc and huskies as we missed the 4D theatre and huskies during our visit as we hadn’t co-ordinated the timings.
