“They accepted my booking and money, sent me tickets and details. Then they failed to collect me for the trip, and didn’t answer phone calls or emails on the day. Very rude reply to my complaint. Even told me that’ you don’t go to Uluru just to see the stars as if that excuses him. Subsequently discovered there rate cheaper alternatives so use them instead!”
“Uluṟu makes a fantastic backdrop when being shown the beautiful night sky. The guides are very knowledgeable in astronomy and using a laser pointer, pointed out stars, planets, the star signs of Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn and told aboriginal stories of the night sky. Then we all took turns to look through the telescope to see Saturn and Jupiter and the moon. The guides even took close up photos of the moon through the telescope with our own mobile phones. Then they took a complimentary photo of us with the stars as a backdrop as a momento. The group size was about 25 not 12 as advertised but it didn’t spoil the experience. One of the guides can speak Chinese if there are any Chinese customers. Really good night in the dark!”
