We visited several historic places including the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace, both of which helped explain a lot about Vietnam’s modern history. The guide also shared stories about how the city has changed over the years. In between stops we drove through busy streets filled with scooters, markets, and street vendors, which gave a real sense of everyday life.
