Met some absolutely amazing people on this trip. Thanks to Backpacker Deals for helping me figure out which trip to go on, it did not disappoint! So many activities were included and the good times were rolling 24/7.

i learnt that my dreams of being a great surfer and gaining the fancy of a hot aussie surfer dude was not going to happen in this life, but we still had the best time and met some really wonderful people. so happy we did this trip

What an experience! The East Coast is a beauty on its own, but through the eyes of the crew, it's even more magical! They took us to some amazing spots that you wouldn't normally see as a backpacker. First stop; Hunter Valley. The wine tasting was a great way to know the group a bit better. Other stops were Koala Hospital in Port Macquerie (the guides took us to a lovely beach as a special treat as well, so be prepared for other spontaneous stops) and Spot X to catch that wave for surfing. Barrington Tops was unique (where you can try adrenalin tube rafting) and so was River Retreat (we went canoeing!). It was so much fun travelling the east coast with a group of people and seeing it all together. The crew was so nice, helpful and fun (thanks Jason and Darcy!) Great experience!

The first night of my trip I knew i'd made the right decision to book it! Staying in the middle of nowhere, no one else around but my new Stray mates, watching the sunset over gorgeous national park from a gigantic spa pool, with a beer in my hand... it was bliss! Each stop was unique and had something cool to do, i loved learning to surf at Spot X. My guide Cam was awesome, so friendly and knowledgeable, made the trip all about us and what we wanted to do. He was great at making everyone feel welcome, especially when new people hopped on. Highly recommend!

I did the Sydney > Byron Bay trip with Stray and it was the perfect way to start the East Coast, especially if you're travelling solo. I also added on the Blue Mountains which was an awesome escape from the city. Our driver guide Linz was incredible - her BBQ skills are next level!haha!
