“This is our second villa rental in Barbados. The first one wasn't via Barbados Blue, but was on Royal Westmoreland in Royal Villas.
My wife did the research and found Barbados Blue. We were staying in The House (All-inclusive Marriott) Hotel for our first week. So it was nice to have a self-catered break (and less alcohol!).
This villa, 1 Sugar Cane Mews, was a bit smaller than the one we booked in 2022, but more modern and in excellent condition. Maid attended on 3 half-days which was quite sufficient. Pool isn't large, but gets the sun all day.
Only 2 (slightly) negative comments:
1. What appears to be a video camera is mounted on the eaves of No. 2 and points towards No. 1's pool. Is this OK?
2. A/C unit in Bedroom 2 (which we didn't use) appeared to be in need of a maintenance visit, due to fault number keeps coming up on dispaly and we switched off on 2nd last day due a mild burning smell.
The villa is well positioned, right next to the Clubhouse, Halfway Hut and communal pool, although at peak tee-off times, the sound of golfers and golf carts can be distracting. Also just an 8-minute walk up the hill to the Rum Shak.
We were very happy with our week-long stay and would book again.”
