“Full disclosure: I have very wide feet so it's necessary to have a shoe that's cut high enough to avoid finishing on the widest part of my foot. As such, it did take a number of wears for the leather to soften enough so as to prevent digging around the arch (it still happens on hot days or when I'm on my feet for long periods). Overall they are a really comfortable shoe and I'm sure these will be the first of many Bared shoes for me!”

“Unfortunately my feet have always been difficult to fit, and this style was no exception. I have very narrow feet and found that in spite of popping a gel foot pad in at the toe, there was a huge gap (almost 1cm) between the dorsum of my foot and the top leather of the shoe. There was no way to remedy this given the style of the shoe, and I'm sure that leather is intended to stretch further. It surprises me to read reviews of how tight this style is for some people! Feet come in more shapes and sizes than even a clever brand like Bared can cater for. Thankfully Bared were really helpful with troubleshooting and the returns process. I will just have to continue wearing poorly fitted shoes or lace ups for life!”
