I have always been hesitant to buy shoes with a strap around the ankle as they are not generally flattering on me, but the strap on the Wattle is placed in just the right place that they look so elegant and fabulous. “This is my first Bared purchase after hearing and reading rave reviews. Can tell shoes are well made, but the strap is tiny and barley meets around my ankle - no chance of doing it up. Have Several sandals and Mary Janes from other brands (camper, miz mooz, bisabo, bionic) and have never experienced this before (usually use a hole towards the middle). Posting this as no reviews mentioned this issue. Customer service has been great and look forward to trying alternatives, which are on their way.”
