Thanks for your review! The heel cup is higher on this sandal compared to some of our other styles but we have had a few staff members wearing them around and they definitely soften after a couple of wears :)
To help break in the back of the shoe we recommend wearing them around the house with some thick socks on to help soften them whilst protecting your skin.
