“I struggle with boots due to thin ankles and calves and Bared is the first brand that I have found boots to fit my legs (this is the 3rd pair).
Nightingale looks great (5/5) and has been used lots during winter as part of my work attire. Goes great with dresses.
Nightingale is comfortable (3/5) however, I don't find them as comfortable as Raptor despite Raptor having higher heels. The reasons are
- there is a steeper slope between the toes and the heel than the Raptor
- They are long at the toes and I found my foot slipping forward a lot in the boots despite adding the half insoles as well.
The right boot also makes a slight squeak at the heel when I put my weight on it and just a tiny 2mm thread hanging about in 2 spots makes me feel this particular pair of the batch didn't have a refined finish. Bared has always been great with exchanges but I was too excited to notice these issues and wore them asap so wouldn't have been able to change for another pair.”
