“I love the comfort of these, but I wouldn’t buy them again purely based on the fact that after about ~6 months, the gold hardware at the toe has tarnished and now has an awful black mark on my shoe that won’t come off.. can’t wear them to work now because it just looks awful, so for $269, they will become a yard shoe.. quite sad..”
“Got these shoes in Feb 2023 and from the first wear, they are slippery, on every surface in every condition.
I don't wear them due to this. However, today 13th of June 2024, I wore them and slipped so badly. I cut my hand, elbow, hurt my back and bruised the back of my head.
Customer service was lovely, but that does not change the fact that these shoes are not safe at all. Sorry”

“This is my second pair of white Whimbrels. Very comfortable. Always looked great. I treat them with leather protector and wash the places to keep them clean. I did get a scratch in the old pair but was able to cover that with some white-out tape.”
“Have had thorntail and vireo white leather runners with no issue- both super comfortable and did not need breaking in. I have attempted to wear the whimbrel for the last six months- very hot, caused blisters, changed to leather in soles and still create pressure on my toes. They look good but super stiff.. only suitable for short-time wear- not for holidays/ walking all day.”
