“This is one of many pairs of comfortable Bared shoes I own. It’s one of my most versatile styles and colours, and therefore one of my most worn pairs together with the same style in Merlot Patent. They are comfortable and supportive as all Bared shoes are. In terms of quality they are less well made compared to the 15+ pairs of Bared shoes I own. It took several tries for me to find a pair where the leather wasn’t a bit damaged, or there wasn’t some fault (I had a pair where the interior edges of the shoe scraped uncomfortably) but Bared with their excellent customer service sent me 2-3 pairs until I found a pair that fit comfortably. In case helpful, personally I found the patent version of this style to be more comfortable (after breaking in) and better made. I’m a true size 37 in all Bared shoes, have a narrow foot and low instep and therefore I always need to use the thicker footbed but in this pair I have to use the thinner footbed as I find the toe box a bit tighter than say the Eagle, Myza or surfbird.”
“I’m a Bared diehard - have worn them for years now and nearly all my shoes are Bared. So comfortable!
I bought the taupe pair - great colour and style and can be worn with anything. I love them…but they have been a disappointment .
After two wears, the toe on one shoe scuffed leaving exposed white underleather. Quite obvious . I went to my usual shoe repairer who tried ordering in a shoe cream in a matching colour (Saphir’s ‘Mouette’), which he now tells me is discontinued. I went to the Sydney store directly afterwards to see if Bared have a matching coloured shoe polish/cream, but no joy. They've directed me to another shoe repairer in the city.
My Bared pointed toe shoes have scuffed in the past and it’s an easy fix if the shoe is black. I understand that to give feet the right room, the pointed toe extends a bit and it makes it easy to scuff (I had a Bared taupe nubuck pair a few years ago that were impossible to fix). Maybe you could stock a few matching coloured shoe cream that matches your range?”
Hi Lindy,
Thank you for taking the time to review your Inca 2 taupe leather.
We're sorry to hear that the toe has scuffed, we completely understand how disappointing scuffs can be.
We've just reached out to you privately by email and look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Warm regards,
The Bared team x
“I have been looking for a pair of flat shoes for ages and these were just what I was looking for. They are comfortable and they are made of quality materials and can be worn with my business suit pants or a pair of jeans!
They are versatile and look fabulous dressed up or dressed down.
I purchased the Inca in both black leather and taupe.”
