“I have had these for a year and tried my best to break them in and it’s caused my ankle and calves so much pain because they are so heavy and very difficult to break in. i regret buying these shoes and wish i had chosen something lighter and easier to break in. i have other pairs of bared shoes i love wearing but this one has really disappointed me and has actually caused me lower back pain and issues with my knees and calves from wearing it all day in the office. i am really disappointed… if u have wide feet in particular i would suggest not getting these as they are very heavy and clunky. also the platforms caused me to almost roll my ankle twice”

“I wear these for work. They were a little tight at first but once worn in, they are really comfortable to wear, especially if you need to walk around.”
“I purchased 2 pairs of loafers; the Elaenia and the Wedgebill. The Elaenia I chose in Black Leather & Hardware in my normal size. They are elegant and pretty comfortable for right out of the box. I can wear them with dresses, skirts, dressy trousers or with my favorite pair of jeans. The only issue I have is that my narrow heels keeps rising up out of the shoe a bit. I don’t want to size down as I like the roominess of the toe box. I am waiting to hear back from Bared to see what they suggest. I did receive the Fit Kit, but it doesn’t come with anything to adjust the heels or arches. It comes with a thinner version of the their insoles and forefoot padding in case the toe box feels too roomy.
Overall, I am happy with my experience - once I adjust the heels. The quality of the leather is good, and the shoes are well-made. I would definitely order from Bared again.”

“I want to love Bared shoes so badly. The footbed is legit amazing. But I’ve now tried 3 pairs and it’s still a struggle. These loafers are great… except for one major design flaw. The chains are very loud when walking. I’ve worn them for over six months now and the problem isn’t one of breaking in. They just didn’t design this shoe well. They clink!!! When I told customer support, they told me to find a shoe repair person and have them try to attach the chain differently. So at this point I’ve decided that the comfort of Bared’s shoes truly is unparalleled. The design however is meh. Where that leaves me as a customer is undecided.”
