“I bought these in store and had done my research about them being a small fit. I tried the EU39 (usual size) and EU40 and found the 39 was a good fit. Unfortunately since then I’ve struggled to walk or wear these for longer than an hour. I really love my other bared shoes and I hoped to push through the last 2 months with these but they have stayed stiff and are giving me blisters on my heel and top of my foot so I can’t wear them anymore.”

“Love my new loafers. Comfy and look great. Went up a size from 39 to 40 and used the extra half insole. Might need a heal grip for my smaller foot.”
“I was so excited when I received these as a christmas gift, they were my regular size and fit my foot length and width wise. Unfortunately they are extremely tight across the top due to the saddle, to the point I couldn't use any sole insert at all (which defeats the purpose and makes them quite uncomfortable). I wish the size guide had better details about exact measurements so this could have been avoided. After a good three months of attempting to wear them, I am giving up the idea that they would loosen when broken in, I get blisters that bleed and a really uncomfortable pain across the midsection of my foot after wearing and the leather has no signs of give in it, they are completely unwearable. it's such a shame because they would have been otherwise perfect.”

Didn't realise they came a typical size smaller, and only saw it online after I made the purchase and wanted to get something else - very dissapointed that I wasn't informed of the sizing difference in-store.”

“I own a ton of Bared shoes, and have only ever had issues with 2 pairs. These are one of them. They feel totally fine at first, but they are dramatically uncomfortable after walking just a few blocks. They cut up my heels, rub on my pinky toes, and have never softened up or broken in. I've tried every possible option in the Fit Kit and Bared provided additional items to try to make them work, but there's something wrong with the construction of these compared to other Bared shoes that makes them not work for me at all. Super disappointing for the price to end up with unwearable shoes.”

“Wedgebill is darling. I sized up from 36 to 37 but alas when she arrived I could barely squeeze into her. I was so disappointed, I read and re-read the reviews and finally decided to give her a bit of time to warm up to me. After 3 short wears (around the house) she’s like a slipper.
Give her time, put the thin inners in, some socks and she’ll be your best friend in no time.”
