“I read the rave reviews about Bared shoes and wanted to try them. I don’t have any problems with my feet and regularly wear completely flat shoes like Saltwater sandals, but those are very casual shoes and Bared shoes look dressier.
I love the colour and style of these shoes. They feel substantial and the hardware looks costly.
They felt strange on my feet at first, with the shaped footbed.
I wore them to work for about 4 hours and I didn’t have to do much walking, and my feet felt okay.
Then I wore them to the shopping centre, and as I was walking my feet started to hurt and my big toes were blistering where the straps were rubbing them. I don’t usually get sore feet from walking so little. I wonder if it is the weight of the shoe or the shaped insole. I haven’t tried them on again since because I’m waiting for the blisters to heal. I’ve had to wear my soft leather ballet flats to hide the state of my feet. I am not about to throw the bared sandals in the bin, but I am cautious about wearing them now. Maybe if I wear them more and they mould to the shape of my foot, they will become comfortable. The leather is much stiffer than the other types of shoes I buy, but maybe that means it will last longer.
I don’t know about these shoes.”
