“I'm in love with the style of this loafer – I've tried on quite a few pairs from Bared and settled on 2 pairs of loafers to cover my entire wardrobe – this Maleo as my go-to for more structured, traditional outfits (think: tailored trousers or even summer maxi dresses), and the Wedgebill for my edgy, oversized outfits (think: flared cargo maxi skirt). The problem has been the sizing. My usual size is US 6.5 / EU 37, and the Bared staff advised me to get 36 in my first pair of Maleos and 37 for my Wedgebills because the Wedgebills run shorter. 37 in the Wedgebills ended up fitting me perfectly, however after wearing the 36 Maleos past the refundable date, I found that they were killing my feet – just a tad too short and certainly too narrow for my wide feet (even with the thinnest insoles). So now I'm trying my luck with my second pair in size 38 (I also requested 37 for the free try-on but they didn't send them) – with thick insoles and forefoot padding and thick socks, I'm hoping these will be the ones!”

“Took some time to wear in but became more comfortable and looked better over time and once they softened and were worn in. Some rubbing and discomfort at first but great to be able to change the inserts easily to suit the thickness of socks / rubbing etc.
