“I had to buy these Rook boots to replace the Mimid black stretch leather boots I bought about a year ago, which I was incredibly disappointed with. Because the Rooks are flat and have a much chunkier, solid heel, I’m really hoping they actually last.
These are my 5th pair of Bared shoes overall. I only wore the Mimids in the winter, maybe two days a week to my office job, and I never wore them for long walks because of the higher heel. Despite that super light wear, the bottom of the heel completely snapped off one shoe, and the material on the other heel looks like it's about to do the exact same thing.
I'm really hoping the Rooks are built better and last longer than a year. If they don't hold up, these will unfortunately have to be my last pair from Bared.”
