These loafers have that classic preppie look I love. The downside is the break‑in period was rough — they gave me blisters on the back of both heels, and it took a week or two for them to heal. The gel feels a bit sticky. Ive since applied leather conditioner and am hoping that next time they won’t cause the same issue. Stylish and well‑made, but definitely not painless out of the box.

Hi Therese, We're so sorry to hear about your experience with the Chauna loafers! We use natural leathers to construct our shoes - this helps the shoe to retain its shape for as long as possible, however, can mean they are quite rigid to begin with and take some time to wear in. We have reached out privately with some extra tips and tricks to wearing in the leather, and to try resolve this for you! If you're happy to chat further with us, feel free to call us on (03) 9509 5771, or email us at info@baredfootwear.com. We hope to hear from you soon! Kind Regards, The Bared Team x

Light, soft leather, very comfortable from the get-go. Beautiful shoes and craftmanship, thank you!

Is it possible to buy a pair of shoes and be able to wear them comfortably without breaking them in even without socks? The leather on these shoes are soft, believe it. The gathering gives it a high end feel (and helps accommodate my wide feet without looking ugly); the chocolate colour has a slight oxblood tint in the best possible way. The back heel is structured and supportive. I now want them in black, would also love them in a cream leather, perhaps olive, or suede pretty please bared team?
