“I ended up purchasing a second pair of the Mountaingems because I was getting so much wear out of my first pair! In my first review I was still a bit unsure how they would accommodate my wide feet across the midfoot, but I'm pleased to say they have worn in nicely and are now my most comfortable pair of dress flats. Having the vamp extend up around the sides of the foot is essential to this, for sure. I would love to see this style become available in more colours such as bottle green and powder blue!”
“The shoes are beautifully made. I first ordered size 38 anticipating pointy shoes might be tight but it was too big. The toe box is roomy. I had to wait a few weeks to exchange because the next size down was not available. When exchanged for size 37 and it fits well. I’m normally US size 7 or 7.5. I’m glad the try on period is 60 days.”
“They’re beautiful shoes but the straps at the back rub against my ankles which makes it uncomfortable to wear. I would have been better off buying fully enclosed shoes.”
“I've got wide feet across the midfoot and toes (D width), so didn't have much hope for these because they seem to be narrow like most of Bared's dressy flat styles. I usually end up returning or not trying these styles at all but I really wanted some minimalist slingbacks for work! Gave them a go and sized up (am between a 37/38 in Bared so took a 38) and the extra length was essential in getting these to work for me, as were the adjustable straps across the midfoot and the toe box extending around the sides of the foot for support. Still a tiny bit narrow for my liking across the midfoot but as part of my shoe rotation they work well, and I expect they will become more comfortable as they wear in.”
