“I found the leather very supple. I felt my feet were moving around too much at the heel and wanted more security to keep my foot in place. I’m not sure a smaller size would have made a lot of difference as it is the weight ratio of upper leather (light) to the sole (very heavy). I think after a few wears they would become very sloppy irrespective of the size. The staff were very helpful and I have since purchased another style.”
