“First of all, I wish to report the band is very high quality in manufacture and workmanship. The TIMEX band that came on my watch is NLA and the weekender is the closest to the original that I could find, checking all watchband manufacturers.
It is not leather-lined, nor does it have leather connection tabs for the pins. That was disappointing. The buckle clasp holes are serged for durability. The new attachment pins with the retraction lever take away the frustration of installing the watch on the band.
The canvas loops which secure the strap that is extending past the buckle are rather fat, due to the canvas being rolled to make a finished appearance. Only one stitch connecting the loop ends, seems rather wimpy. I added a small amount of SuperGlue to the loop at the stitch point.
Most of all, I wish to commend the company for the very well-thought-out paper box and paper insert, that uses absolutely no plastic. It is small and very smartly designed, to utilize renewable materials in the very minimum quantity, to produce the protective box for the band.
Overall a smart-looking, well-designed watchband. Am pleased with the purchase, made at the right price for this item.”
