Hey Gary, I'm sorry to hear that the UK government is charging such high duties for non-domestic purchases. We, in no way encourage or profit from that sort of tax. We are huge proponents of global trade and hate to see countries charging each other so much for trade. We ship watch bands to over one hundred different countries each year and as you know, this is not something we are charging you, but instead it is a tariff that is being charged by customs in your country. We try to make it clear on our site that customs duties may be charged, based on the import laws in your country. We state this on our cart page, checkout page and on the FAQ page. We even use the Royal Mail as a specific example of this.
