“I've had the Silicone band for about 3-4 weeks now and I'm having to change to the Sailcloth band that I purchased at the same time. The reason for the change is that both of the small retainers for the tail of the band have broken. The closest one to the clasp was broken about a week ago and the second was broken on Monday the 15th of June, when I noticed at dinner that the strap was not held to the strap and was kind of dangling. Whatever caused the breakage was not evident at the time it happened, as it was noticed later in the day. I really liked the band, still do, but it's unusable without some kind of retainer for the excess strap. I'll try the Sailcloth with the watch now and I'm sure it will last quite a while, it looks much more substantial than the Elite Silicone band.”
