“I wear an Eco-Drive Citizen watch. It has a regular "watch face" - it has numbers. It's a rather simple-looking watch. I wear it everyday, weather I'm at the office or doing outdoor chores in the hot, summer heat and humidity of Houston. The leather watchband that came with the watch finally gave out on me. I needed a new one and the jeweler I bought it from no longer carries Citizen. So I looked on the interweb and ran across Barton. Nice looking watchbands. Plenty of different styles - a lot of different styles - more than I'll ever need. I wasn't looking forward to fighting the little springs to get a new band on this watch. But the folks at Barton have a spring that you can manipulate with your fingernail. That one feature sold me on the brand. I found a band I thought I liked and bought it. I'll bet it was 2 days later (maybe 3 days) and I had the new band. It took me about 4 minutes of messing with the old band and 2 minutes with the new band and I have what appears to be a new watch.
Tomorrow is Saturday and I'll be outside in 95° heat and 80% humidity. Let's see how I feel about it then. But I'll bet I'm still going to be real satisfied. And I'll bet I get another band for this same watch because it is so darn easy to change them.
