“The Hug Double 5.1m sit-in sea kayak is fast and stable and comfy which is awesome. As a very experienced sea kayaker (over 40 years plus major trips such as around South West of Tasmania) I was amazed at the incredible value. The only concern is the foot brace/steering control which I will upgrade. There isn't enough forward/backward movement of the pedal to turn the rudder hard making surf landings a bit dicey. Plus I will upgrade the rudder blade with a longer wider one for nice sweet turns. Other than these things, which probably wouldn't be an issue for beginner or intermediate paddlers, I'm loving my new boat and have had it out three times a week since it arrived.

“The Kayak was a success, we have been out three times to date and we found it very stable and easy to use. It met our requirements and we went out for around 2 hours on each trip. Only changes I would make would be to improve seating and dispense with the rudder. You really don't need a rudder on a kayak and steer by paddling. My back was painful after the first trip as I was leaning back for the whole time. I modified the seat to set it upright and it was then fine.”
