“I chose this chair as a good compromise between low size/weight and comfort for, car camping, rafting trips, and day trips. I probably would've opted for the Savannah Chair if it came in the tie-die fabric, but have zero regrets; the print & orange anodised frame look incredible in the flesh. The availability of rocking legs and shade accessory sealed the deal.
I own hiking poles, umbrella, and multiple chairs from Helinox, and all are exceptionally well designed and made. I've had one issue–after many years of hard use & outside warranty–which was quickly solved by Helinox sending a replacement part, so I have no hesitation buying this brand.
These chairs are very comfortable for me at 185cm/100kg; decent back support & doesn't cut in at the back of the thighs as some ultralight chairs do. The Savannah Chair might offer slightly better comfort for anyone over my height due to the added back height and head support.
Packed size and weight make them suitable for car camping, beach trips, or festivals, but for hiking I'd take my Ground Chair, which is surprisingly comfortable for its weight.”
