“I love Festool products but I hate this sander. The tool will vibrate your hands off in the random orbital mode. The rotary mode works well but it should work in both modes. Spoke with Festool and it sounds like some units are just bad in random orbit. Why sell a product you know is flawed.”

“This is a money maker. If you do any cabinet work or remodeling the ability to take a surface down as quickly as this sander can will save you time and money. The ability to go from grinding to finish sanding is a time saver too.”

“I had the same reservations as many about spending this kind of money on a sander but after having 2 sanders fail and factoring in the deficiencies and drawbacks of getting another cheap sander, I caved and bought this. Makes projects so much easier and I replaced two other sanders. It also has the best dust extraction I've experienced which makes clean up a breeze.”

“It has a weird balance to it. I feel like I have to put to much effort in keeping the pad engaged on the material because it has a natural tendency to drop due to gravity. I may need to purchase one of the brushless sanders”

“This sander is a great product. I had a project come up that required a great deal of final sanding inside the home. This sander coupled with the CT48 was the best investment. The unit did an excellent job keeping the dust down to almost nothing. Because the dust collection is so good, I also found that the sanding paper had little to no build up. This allowed me to use the paper longer without changing it. Overall This is something that I wish I would have purchased years ago. Great investment, money well spent.”

“This dual mode sander is a wood eater and a wood polisher. I was really amazed at the clean finish I can obtain using the variety of available sanding discs. As well, there is no dust in the air and the wood doesn't heat up when using aggressively.”

“This Ro125 is an all in one wood sanding monster and then some! Flip a switch & a disk and your in a different mode with the same tool! It is a strong and well built tool, wouldn't expect anything less from Festool, and has a great dust recovery when attached to the vacuum. Working in a small shop or in a home this is a huge plus! Perfect tool for a perfect job!”

“Have used this, my second festool power tool, for two weeks. The build quality is excellent. There is a learning curve to using this the first time. The dual mode action is a tremendous plus and can remove a great deal of rough wood quickly and effortlessly. I would suggest that first time users watch the Larry Smith video on you tube that provides many excellent suggestions and hints for swirl-free sanding.”
