“Only bought this for it's name and it turned out quite nicely. I've never heard the back story of English pubs mixing there new and old brews but I can't argue that it doesn't work particularly in this case and by coincidence I picked up a few marstons old empire which seems to be another mixture of old and new , with some success.”
