“Great RUF briquettes. Burn 3 to 4 times longer than dried logs, light without kindling as they split quite easily into two or three pieces. Minimal ash and very little mess.”

“Easy to store due to package shape. Quite messy to take out of the wrapping (lots of sawdust) but they catch light easily and burn with a good heat for a reasonable amount of time, leaving a small amount of ash. Would buy again.”

“I only ordered these as Bioglow was out of stock of oak. Big mistake. Even before they were unloaded from the lorry I knew I'd made a bad decision. There were piles of white powder on the lorry floor all around the pallet. Then another on the curbside when it was unloaded. The individual packs of 12 were very loosely packed in flimsy plastic which split open, or more open (as at least 30% were already badly split). Because the packs weren't tight, the individual bricks were rubbing together, creating more powder and shedding it through the holes in the packs. More powder was created when transferring them to the shed, and then from the shed to the house. This manner of packaging also made them difficult to carry. Holding them close to the body transferred white powder to clothes - requiring a change! What was left of the bricks was not tightly compressed and at least 90% crumbled to some extent - shedding more powder in the process. It's been like trying to sweep up flour, disturb it and it flys up in the air only to resettle 5 mins later. Wet it and it goes into a paste that dries in smears. The bricks themselves burn ok - pretty much what I was expecting from my experience with the oak bricks - but to say I'm bitterly disappointed is an understatement. I don't know if this batch had got wet before delivery which may account it, but it has seriously undermined my faith in Bioglow. What I received was definitely not how it looked on the website.”
